Captain Ryan Muntin Piscivorous
Originally from Michigan and upon graduating from Michigan State University, Skipper Ryan came down to Key West in the year 2001. Shortly after moving, He received his captains license and decided to make a living out on the high seas with a rod and reel. "Two Great!!! Days of fishing"

First day with Captain Ryan Muntin, Reef and Wreck fishing. A lot of action, with a variety of table fish in the box. (African Pompano, Yellow Tail Snapper). Got off the anchor and picked up a Black Fin Tuna, great fight on the medium spinning gear.
Day two Back Country Fishing with Captain Anthony Solmo. Started the day Tarpon fishing, no luck. Switched it up and anchored in the shallows. A few Barracuda for fun then a double down two 7' Lemon Sharks on. Great finish to the day.
"Capt. Ryan Muntin was awesome"

Capt. Ryan was a great time. We had 5 people in our group, the water was extremely ruff as winds were blowing 17mph but Capt. Ryan made the most of it. We didn't spend a whole lot of time searching for bait so we got right to the reef and got busy. Within minutes we were catching all kinds of yellow fin grouper. After we got aboard with that we trolled for larger fish unsuccessful due to the weather conditions but he was very good and knowledgeable. When we were done we went back to his marina where he skinned the fish we took it right over to the restaurant where they prepared the fish and we also shipped some home. I will be going back out with him.

The best run fishing charter operation, by far. The knowledge of the guides and hospitality demonstrated was great. They all communicated to each other what spots were producing fish, eliminating time wasted on unproductive locations. Capt. Ryan knew where when and how to fish, and involved everyone on board making us "crew" and not feeling like spectators. He had every tackle and bait needed, was patient (and humorous) with any inexperience or lack of expertise on our part. Monster Mutton Snapper along with large Yellowtail Snapper and a 4 foot Cero Mackerel that wore me out! Management is obviously top notch, Capt. Paul and Capt. Roc ensured we were well prepared and informed as to weather and what fishing was best at the time. Highly recommend you give them a try, as they will exceed your expectations.
"Capt. Ryan – 3 Great Days"

This fishing trip was a yearly event that a few of my fellow doctors and I take to escape the cold here in Buffalo. We normally fish in Belize, Panama and in Cabo, but wanted to give Key West a shot. After extensive research and calling a couple of guide services, we all decided on Key West Pro Guides simple because of their awesome reviews and Captain Rock. We wanted three days of light tackle fishing and they hooked us up with Ryan. He was funny, personable and an excellent guide. Day 1 we went for Sailfish and Tuna and ended up with 6 Sailfish and 5 Blackfin Tuna. Day 2 was to try for Tarpon as the season seemed to be a little early with the warm winter, we saw lots, but Capt. Ryan said the water temps were a little cool for them, instead we headed out to the Gulf of Mexico and crushed the Cobia, Kingfish and lots of Bonito, even a few on fly!! Day 3 was a reef and wreck trip. We limited out on Yellowtail snappers in under two hours, all what Capt. Ryan called "Extra Large"! We lost many to this very large and very persistent Lemon shark until we hooked him and landed him too!! After the reef, we fished the deep wrecks and finished the day with 3 bug Amberjacks…
All in all it was the perfect way to spend three days relaxing on a boat with an awesome guide who truly loves his profession. The guys on the dock were all a blast to listen to, all jazzing each other up and enjoying life. On the last day we ate some of the snappers at the marina restaurant, again perfection!
Thanks so much to Key West Pro Guides and Captain Rock, we'll see you again next year!!
